The atmosphere of the
ten day Festival was that of a big, happy Family
Celebration.
Tania Kernaghan rode in
on horseback singing the National Anthem, the pipe band, Carlton
Clydesdales rode around the Park and the Bushwackers kicked off
after Mayor James Treloar officially opened the Festival and
announced "Let the Music begin".
Capacity crowds at the
opening concert & again a record of aproximately 20,000 people
flocked Bi-Centennial Park for the free Kasey Chambers concert on
Friday night. Some 3,000 performances were staged in & around
Tamworth.
Busking Championships
won by the Williams Sisters from Brisbane. Bushman's campdrafting
and Rodeo Finals were a huge success and again the Line Dancing
World Record was broken.
People lined both
sides of Peel Street to watch the annual Star studded country Music
Cavalcade and finish on the Saturday Night at the entertainment
center where Stars made their grand entrance on red carpet for the
30th Toyota golden guitar awards Anniversary, which was broadcast
